Eredivisie champions Ajax will go head to head with Serie A giants Inter Milan for the signature of highly rated Blackpool wide man Tom Ince when the winter window opens for business in the new year, according to reports in the Sunday Mirror.

The in-demand England Under-21 international has been attracting the attentions of a whole host of big-name Premier League clubs of late, however, with Ince’s current contract with the Championship high flyers now set to expire at the end of this season, the 21-year-old is able to start negotiating with foreign-based clubs as of next January.

And it is understood that Dutch giants Ajax are planning on making contact with Ince’s representatives in an effort to persuade the winger to move to the Amsterdam ArenA next season, with the club renowned for developing young talent.

However, Ajax will face stiff competition for Ince’s signature from Inter, who Tom’s dad Paul played for between 1995 and 1998, while there remain a number of Premier League suitors who are also keen to sign the Englishman come the end of this campaign.

Ince is currently enjoying yet another outstanding season for the seasiders, with the midfield creator having so far registered six goals and two assists in just his 10 league appearances.
