French side Saint-Etienne have once again reiterated their complete lack of interest in listening to offers for young defender Kurt Zouma but fear that they may not be able to resist a ‘huge’ bid for the player even though they are under no financial pressure to let him go, the Daily Express reports.

The 18-year-old has been heavily linked with a move to the Premier League recently with the likes of Liverpool, Manchester United and Chelsea all believed to be holding a keen interest in him.

Reports in France have suggested that Juventus, Bayer Leverkusen and Monaco have all been keeping an eye on his progress too, but it is Manchester United who remain the frontrunners to land his signature and intend on making a serious offer sometime in the near future.

Speculation has Zouma valued at just £7m, but the club have insisted that they are under no financial pressure to let him leave as their coffers are still full from the summer sales of  Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Josuha Guilavogui over the summer.

Zouma has always been vocal with his affection for Les Verts, and comments made in the wake of signing his new contract also suggest that he is in no hurry to move.

He said: “This extension is a great vote of confidence in me from the club.

“St Etienne means a lot to me because it is where I was developed.

“This is a new step in my career. I still need to learn. I will also gain experience and I know that will help me to grow.”
