Anfield side target Stamford Bridge wide-man.
Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers is preparing a loan move for Chelsea winger Victor Moses according to the Daily Mail.
The 22-year-old Nigerian international has traveled to Manchester for tonight’s game against Manchester United at Old Trafford but it is understood that he has been informed that he can now depart Stamford Bridge on a short term deal.
Chelsea have landed Brazilian attacking midfielder Willian in a £30m deal from Anzhi Makhachkala which will see the former Wigan attacker fall further down the pecking order in Jose Mourinho’s new side.
Rodgers is now prepared to offer the winger a chance of regular football at Anfield by taking him on-loan at Anfield although the Blues are thought to want a £2m fee for his services to help fund his £55,000-a-week wages,
Moses could face a struggle to get any playing time for Mourinho’s sde with Willian, Eden Hazard, Andre Schurrle and Kevin De Bruyne in front of him at Stamford Bridge.
The Liverpool boss is now confident that his strong working relationship with the former Real Madrid boss, who he worked with at Stamford Bridge, will benefit him in his pursuit of the talented winger as the Blues look to cut back their wage bill to satisfy UEFA’s Financial Fair Play regulations.
Moses only made the switch to Chelsea last summer for a reported fee of around £9m from the Latics and he made 43 appearances during his debut campaign with the Blues but given the heighten competition for places he may feel the need for a period away to gain regular playing time this season.
