Balestier Coach pledges to reward the Tigers faith
Bhalstier Khalsar Coach Darren Stewart wants silverware to cap of his second successful season at the helm of the Tigers.
Stewart finished in fourth place and won the Starhub League Cup Plate in his first season, his side are on course for another top four finish this time around.
The Tigers are still involved in both domestic Cup competitions too, with semi-final clashes with Albirex Niigita and Home United to look forward to respectively.
Speaking to Fox Sports Asia. Stewart reiterated his burning desire for silverware: “If I could bring silverware to this club, it could be my greatest achievement in football.
“Even including what I achieved during my playing days.
“People can talk about what I’ve done at the club since arriving but I just sit back and watch the players do what they do their jobs. They deserve the credit.”
The Australian also praised the club’s Chairman: “Also, the board deserve so much credit for all they’ve given me. If I manage to give a trophy to Thava, that would be huge.
“He’s never said no to me once and he’s been so supportive; he’s just been the best chairman anyone could ask for.”
