Blackpool have re-signed Aston Villa striker Nathan Delfouneso on a six-month loan deal, according to Sky Sports.
The former England U-21 international spent the majority of last season at Bloomfield Road, netting seven times in his 40 league appearances for Paul Ince’s side.
Delfouneso, who has been handed the number 14 shirt, is available for selection for the club’s trip to Middlesbrough tomorrow as they look to continue their unbeaten star to the Championship season.
As a product of the Villa youth academy the striker has failed to make the breakthrough with the midlands club, managing only 31 league appearances since making his debut for the side back in 2008.
The 22-year-old has now fallen even further down the striking pecking order at Villa Park and is understood to be eager to put himself in the shop window ahead of his contract expiring next summer.
The Birmingham-born forward has spent periods on loan at Burnley, Leicester and most recently at with the Seasiders where he got his first real taste of regular football under Paul Ince.
Delfouneso is the second striker to depart Paul Lambert’s side today after unwanted forward Darren Bent secured a season long move to Martin Jol’s Fulham.
While he becomes Ince’s second attacking signing in the space of 24 hours as free agent Ricardo Fuller joined the club following his release by Stoke at the end of last season.
