Andre Villas-Boas hopes to lure FC Twente attacker to White Hart Lane this summer.
Tottenham Hotspur look to continue their summer spending with Belgian winger Nacer Chadli likely to be the next arrival, from FC Twente according to the Independent.
Andre Villas Boas is keen on the 6 foot 2 forward, as he looks to find a left sided player to allow star man Gareth Bale play centrally. The 23 year-old has been linked with a move to Swansea and Aston Villa already this window, whilst reports suggest Ukrainian side Shakhtar Donetsk have offered Nacer a contract, without an official bid being accepted.
The playmaker will join up with fellow countrymen Jan Vertonghen and Mousa Dembele is he is to secure his switch to White Hart Lane, whom have both been instant successes since their arrivals last summer.
The fee for Chadli is reported to be around £7.75million that the Dutch side want, whilst Spurs appear to have offered just £6million which they believe is likely to be accepted.
Once the fee is agreed, personal terms will be discussed as various news outlets claim Daniel Levy will offer a five-year deal to the Belgian international. One factor that may tempt Chadli to accept Spurs over Villa is the Europa League football the London club can offer, plus a realistic challenge for Champions League football this year.
Queens Park Rangers boss Harry Redknapp is currently eyeing England international Scott Parker, and believes, thanks to the arrival of Brazilian midfielder Paulinho, that Villas Boas will allow the 32 year-old to leave the Premier League side this summer. This year is vital for Parker, as the former West Ham midfielder desperately needs game time to prove to Roy Hodgson that he should be in the England World Cup squad.
