Problem child Arsenal striker Nicklas Bendtner is reportedly close to joining Bundesliga side Eintracht Frankfurt, according to talkSPORT.
The 25-year-old has been told that he can leave the north London club this summer after spending the previous two years on loan with Sunderland and Juventus respectively and he now seems set to make a final decision over where his future will lie this week.
The Bundesliga side surpassed all expectations last season by finishing sixth in the Bundesliga and are now hoping to build on that good form by ensuring they can do it again next year.
However, their hopes had been dented by the news that the Danish international had flown into Malaga at the weekend to discuss terms with the Champions League quarter finalists.
But Frankfurt are still thought to be interested after sporting director Bruno Hubner flew into London last week to discuss potential terms with manager Arsene Wenger.
And now the Danish international has been given permission to travel to Germany to hold discussions over a move, according to German football magazine Kicker, with the final decision now up to the player himself.
Bendtner hasn’t appeared for Arsenal since the start of the 2011-12 season.
