Check in to Transfer Window: Done Deal Alerts
Norwich City boss Chris Hughton has confirmed he is interested in signing highly-rated Birmingham City youngster Nathan Redmond according to Sky Sports.
The 19 year old winger was one of the few England players to come out of the European Under 21 Championships this summer with any credit, as Stuart Pearce’s side crashed out of the tournament in the group stage.
Canaries boss Hughton has stated his interest in the St Andrews’ starlet;
“I worked with him at Birmingham. He has done very well and he is a very exciting young player,”
“But any progress that we make on any player, we will only notify you when any business has been done.”
Hughton has already completed deals to bring in Dutch international Ricky van Wolfswinkel whilst securing Javier Garrido on a permanent deal after a successful loan spell at Carrow Road.
Redmond is sure to have a number of potential suitors, with this source claiming that both Everton and Swansea City are interested in the teenager.
The Birmingham City youngster already has 81 appearances to his name.
