The striker is keen on a move to the Premier League.
Pierre-Emerick-Aubameyang has said that he would be interested in a move to Newcastle and will pick a move to England over any over destination, the Daily Mirror reports.
The St Etienne striker has said that it is his dream to move to the Premier League and called Newcastle a “good club”.
Big spending Russian club Anzhi Makhachkala are Newcastle’s closest rivals for the highly-rated striker but Aubameyang has said that he would prefer a move to England over Russia.
Aubameyang said: “I will choose England before any other destination. My dream has always been to play in one of the top two leagues in the world.
“Newcastle is a good club and St James’ Park is a monumental stadium where there is passionate fans.”
The news that Aubameyang would be interested in a move to Newcastle will no doubt please manager Alan Pardew and director of football Joe Kinnear and both men will be desperate to complete the signing of the highly-rated striker.
St Etienne would be willing to sell Aubameyang for around £15 million and signing the striker will be Newcastle’s top priority.
Alan Pardew is also interested in bringing Aston Villa striker Darren Bent to Tyneside along with West Ham defender James Tomkins.
