The agent of Inter Milan forward Antonio Cassano has stated that his client will still be at the club next season, Sky Sports reports.

The 30-year old was involved in a disagreement with ex-boss Andrea Stramaccioni last season, which he feared would put his future at the club in doubt, but the recent appointment of Napoli manager Walter Mazzarri means he will be given a fresh start.

Cassano is entering the final year of his contract with the Serie A side and his agent, Beppe Bozzo, says he expects the striker to be part of the set-up next season.

“He’ll stay at Inter,” he told Italian website Tuttosport.

“I think that Inter will have a great squad at their disposal next season too.

“President Massimo Moratti will buy players who will fit in with new coach Walter Mazzarri’s style of play.

“They’ll also benefit in the new season from not having any European commitments to deal with.”

The Italian international joined Inter from cross city rivals AC Milan last summer for a fee of around £7 million after being unhappy at the sales of Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Thiago Silva to PSG. He managed just 14 appearances last term, scoring five goals.
