Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester City are keeping tabs on young star.
Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester City are preparing for a summer battle to sign Birmingham City youngster Koby Arthur according to The Mirror.
Arthur is tipped for a bright future in the game, and the 17 year old could find himself fast-tracked into the Birmingham first team for their up-coming game with Crystal Palace.
The player has yet to sign a professional deal with the club though and his availability is being monitored by a host of top Premier League clubs.
Arsenal, Chelsea and City are all ready to jump in and tempt the player away from Birmingham and should Arthur agree, the Championship side would be powerless to prevent the player from leaving.
The club would be due compensation through a tribunal but it is unlikely to match the figure the club would likely be able to seek for the Ghanaian wonderkid on the transfer market.
Birmingham discovered Arthur playing in the lower leagues and immediately offered him a place in their Community Trust football development and education programme. The youngster quickly impressed the Birmingham coaches and soon found his way into the club’s full reserve squad.
The player was handed a first team squad number last month, and Arthur’s meteoric rise could be set to continue with a place on the sub’s bench in Friday’s game at Selhurst Park.
