Madejski Stadium offer for Blackpool winger turned down.
Reading have had a £7million bid for young Blackpool winger Tom Ince turned down according to reports.
Reading moved to the head of the race to sign the England under-21 international after making a formal offer to Blackpool, which was confirmed by manager McDermott on Tuesday. But that offer has been rejected with the Championship side wanting their £8million valuation met.
Liverpool have been negotiating to buy back 20-year-old Ince, who they sold to Blackpool for just £250,000 18 months ago, throughout the transfer window but have been put off by the £8million asking price, which was initially set at £6million.

Earlier, McDermott told Sky Sports News about the bid for Ince, who has scored 15 goals in 27 league appearance, when he said: “We’ve made a bid, we’re waiting on Blackpool to come back to us on that one.
“He’s a Blackpool player so it’s difficult for me to talk about players that don’t belong to us. He’s got quality, he can play number 10 or out wide on either side, he loves his football and can score or create goals.
“He’s got a real hunger. He’s a good player with potential, I imagine there’s a lot of interest in him. But once again I have to say this is a player who doesn’t belong to us.”
