Yann M’Vila Turns Down QPR & Tottenham In Favour of Move to Russian Side Rubin Kazan

French midfielder to turn down move to the Premier League.

Yann M’Vila is to turn down the chance to move to the Premier League with either Queens Park Rangers or Tottenham and instead join Russian side Rubin Kazan, according to reports in France.

M’Vila, a French international midfielder, has been a long-term target for QPR manager Harry Redknapp and the 22-year-old Rennes midfielder was expected to complete a £7million move to Loftus Road. He would have joined French team-mate Loic Remy, who joined QPR last week.

Tottenham emerged as serious opposition when showing an interest after losing Brazilian midfielder Sandro to a season-ending knee injury, while Everton were also reported to be trying to tie up a loan deal with a view to a permanent £8.2million transfer at the end of the season.

But it is former Russian league champions Rubin Kazan who look to have captured the talented midfielder with L’Equipe newspaper reporting that Rennes general manager Pierre Dreossi indicating he will leave the club before the end of January.

Zenit St Petersberg were also interested in signing M’Vila, but it was Rubin Kazan’s offer of £3million a- season to the French international appears to have swung the deal their way.
