Tottenham are considering an approach to sign Slovenian international midfielder Josip Ilicic from Italian side Palermo.
White Hart Lane manager Andre Villas-Boas has shown interest in bring Ilicic to the Premier League shortly after talking over the reins at Chelsea, although a move for the tall midfielder never materialised.

And Villas-Boas is ready to reignite his interest in the 24-year-old, who has 22 caps to his name for Slovenia since making his international debut in 2010. He has been with Palermo for the past three seasons since joining in a £2million deal from Maribor.
Tottenham have been linked with a host of names in the January transfer window including moves to sign Brazilian international striker Leandro Damiao, Shaktar Donetsk’s Brazilian Willian and Spanish hitman Alvaro Negredo from Seville.
Villas-Boas has already made a double breakthrough having signed former Manchester United defender Ezik Fryers from Standard Liege in Belgium and German Lewis Holtby, who will join on a free transfer from Schalke in the summer. Goalkeeper Carlo Cudicini has left the club to join Los Angeles Galaxy, while midfielder Jake Livermore is set to leave on loan to QPR.
