Robinho has been a pretty pretty good signing for Mark Hughes since arriving at Eastlands in September. Despite City’s patchy form, especially on the road, the former Real Madrid man hasn’t failed to impress after scoring nine goals in all competitions. Now it appears his friend is warming to the idea of rainy Manchester.
The Daily Telegraph reports that Kaka, a player who would have been an unthinkable signing for City a year ago, is keen on the opportunity to play in the Premier League. While Chelsea have also had the Brazilian midfielder on their wishlist for some time, his comments seem to suggest that the likeliest destination will be further north (no, not Middlesbrough).
“I like very much the Premier League because it is a very tough championship, a lot of big players, a lot of big teams, now I think it is the best championship in the world,” he said.
Asked if he would be interested in joining Manchester City, he said: “Yes I have a lot of friends playing there. I am watching some games – I am speaking with Robinho, Elano sometimes about Manchester City.”
He’s probably getting two sides to the story then, Robinho banging on about how good life has been in a Manchester City shirt, while Elano moaning that he’s barely getting a game under Mark Hughes! Nevertheless, this is the clearest indication yet that Kaka could be completing a move to Eastlands, surely every season ticket holder there would love to see this kind of arrival?
