“Always look on the bright side of life” sang Monty Python, and it appears that this Tottenham forward is adopting a similar philosophy when it comes to the plight of Spurs at the moment. Indeed, the North London club could easily have beaten Hull on Sunday, creating several chances but failing to find a way past Boaz Myhill.
However, Sky Sports is reporting that Fraizer Campbell believes it’s only a matter of time before Juande Ramos’ side get their act together and start picking up some valuable league points. Draws with Wigan and Chelsea have been the only matches which Tottenham haven’t lost thus far, yet the Manchester United loanee reckons this is merely a bad run rather than anything sinister, do you agree?
“We’re just not quite finding our form at the moment, but every team has a dip over the course of a season, hopefully this will be our only one of the campaign.
“This could have happened to us at the beginning, middle or end of the season but because it’s come at the start it’s been highlighted that much more since people see us at the foot of the table. I’m sure we’ll turn things around very soon.”
There’s actually a kernel of truth in there, as Spurs went on a similar poor run following their victory in the Carling Cup final last season. However, on that occasion, they had enough points on the board to not have to worry about relegation, plus they had some gleaming silverware in the trophy cabinet.
Tottenham fans, do you share Campbell’s confidence that the team will turn things round soon?
