Yet more interest is shown in a Tottenham man who doesn’t appear to be part of Juande’s long term plans.
Aston Villa have made a late bid to hijack Younes Kaboul’s move to Sunderland.
Villa boss Martin O’Neill is anxious to bolster his squad before Saturday’s InterToto Cup second leg game at home to OB Odense.
Villa were forced to field a makeshift backline for the 2-2 draw in Denmark as they have no recognised right-back and only two fit centre-halves.
French stopper Kaboul is available at around £5million and has asked for more time to consider a switch to Sunderland. (Daily Mirror)
Whilst there are a few players at White Hart Lane who can happily be offloaded, Younes Kaboul seems to split opinion. One camp believe the French centre-back has shown glimpses of ability and potential in his first season at Tottenham and that he should be given time to show what he can do. Camp number two believe that he lacks concentration and has slipped up on a few occasions during his stint at the club, and that Ramos is better off selling him to help finance other transfers. It’s a tough call, clearly the 22-year-old is a player that many teams are chasing Sunderland, Portsmouth and now Aston Villa have all shown they are keen to snap up the former Auxerre man. Do Spurs fans think that JR should re-think this sale?
