Hull City’s ace striker tells Leeds United that he’s not for sale: He’d rather play Premier League football!

After hearing his name linked with the words “Leeds” and “League One,” Hull striker Dean Windass figured it was time to make it clear to everyone that he’s more than happy playing in the Premier League next year. So stop trying to sell him off!

Hull striker Dean Windass wants “another crack at the Premier League” next season and has dismissed talk of a move to Leeds.

The 39-year-old, whose 15 goals last season helped fire Hull to the top flight, has been linked with a move to Elland Road, but his agent John Hendrie said a switch was unlikely.

“I’ve seen the story and I was surprised by it,” Hendrie said. “It’s news to me. Dean’s still got another year left on his contract at Hull and he’d like another crack at the Premier League next season.” (Press Association)

Windass, who scored 11 goals last year for newly promoted Hull, could give the club a shot at staying up for next season due to his veteran leadership. It would have been quite a shock if he had decided to spurn his current club for a move to League One. But with one year left on his current contract, you had to figure there would be rumours about him.

Do Hull supporters think their veteran striker gives them a legitimate shot at staying up this season?
