The Times reckons that Spurs boss Juande Ramos has been thwarted in a bid for what would have been his billionth signing of the summer.
Juande Ramos has been sniffing around Seville’s 20-year-old left winger Diego Capel for a while now, but it looks like the Spanish club are reluctant to deal with their former manager:
Seville have turned down an offer of £12.5 million from Tottenham Hotspur for Diego Capel, the left winger, in a deal that would have involved the Spanish club withdrawing two compensation claims. Seville claim that they are owed £3 million in compensation from Tottenham for Juande Ramos, who left for White Hart Lane in October, and they have taken action against their former head coach for breach of contract. So will Ramos take no for an answer?
