Kevin Keegan is gunning for change at St James’ Park and of the hoardes of players linked with a move to Newcastle, this latest one seems to be one of the most realistic and interesting ones currently doing the rounds.
Newcastle United are planning a £4m swoop for Birmingham’s former Arsenal midfielder Sebastian Larsson. And Larsson, 23, admits the lure of top-flight football could prove irresistible.
“Once you have been in the Premier League, you want to go back,’’ he said. (Daily Star)
Larsson is a very classy player who always seems to have time on the ball and more importantly seems to know what to do with it once he has it. The former Arsenal man clearly learnt his trade well under Arsene Wenger and a player of his quality should not be plying his trade in the Championship. The price is also very reasonable so I think King Kev should get this deal done before anyone else notices the talented Swede is on the market. Do Newcastle fans think the Birmingham man is worth considering, or are they’re bigger stars to consider purchasing?
