Arsenal striker Emmenuel Adebayor is up on Cloud 9 these days. The Togo international has been a regular at the Emirates this season in the absence of the departed Theirry Henry and has scored 19 goals already in the Premiership. He is the joint highest goalscorer with Manchester United’s Cristiano Ronaldo and is earning accolade from all quarters of the football community.
His Arsenal teammate Alexander Hleb too doesn’t fail to notice the rise of Adebayor and hails him thus:
He’s been in fantastic form. It’s great for him and it’s great for the team. Now with important games such as Manchester United and AC Milan and others coming up, it’s ideal to have a striker who is taking his chances whichever way they come and showing such all-round ability.
Adebayor certainly deserves all the extol that is being heaped on at the moment. The only apprehension is that the striker might let al this barge into his head. Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger though hopes that this doesn’t happen.
