The agent of Victor Valdes has moved to deny reports that a deal has already been agreed for his exit from Barcelona according to Sky Sports.

The Spanish goalkeeper turned down a contract from the Catalan club earlier in the season and expressed his desire to leave the club in pursuit of a new challenge.

Reports in recent days have suggested that the player has already agreed terms on deal to move to Brazilian side Sao Paolo.

But the player’s agent, Gines Carvajal, denied that any concrete offers had been made.

‘When his contract expires, we’ll see what his possibilities are and then we’ll make a decision’, said Carvajal.

‘But there is nothing yet, neither from Brazil nor from any other place. If something comes, we’ll take a look.’

Valdes has been linked with a number of Premier League sides since stating his intention to leave.

Arsenal are thought to be looking into making an approach for the Spanish goalie as they are keen to bring in competition for Polish number one Wojciech Szczesny.

The Gunner’s glovesman has made a number of high profile errors this season and while Wenger still rates the young stopper, he fears that he may be putting too much pressure on the player too early into his career.

Liverpool are also said to be interested in Valdes and may consider a potential swap deal involving their Spanish goalkeeper Pepe Reina.
