A video has emerged which depicts Manchester United defender Marcos Rojo smoking a cigarette outside a nightclub in Argentina.

The player spent the international break back in South America after being called up to play for Argentina in World Cup qualifying assignments against Chile and Bolivia.

The Albiceleste fell behind against Chile when Felipe Gutierrez found the net in the 11th minute, but they responded with goals from Angel Di Maria and Gabriel Mercado.

They saw off Bolivia comfortably—following first-half goals from Mercado and Lionel Messi—to end the window third in the CONMEBOL standings, two points behind leaders Uruguay.

However, while the window was a success for Rojo’s team, the defender himself risks finding himself in hot water after footage has emerged of him enjoying a cigarette with his friends.

The clip can be seen here, as shared by Farandula Show on You Tube.

As noted by the Mirror, such potentially incendiary images come at a bad time for Rojo, whose future at Old Trafford has been the subject of intense speculation in recent weeks and months, having failed to truly assert himself at United.
