The 25 year old German international seems destined to leave the Westfalenstadion, not least because Jurgen Klopp’s side are having a disastrous Bundesliga campaign, and despite interest from a host of Premier League clubs Reus appears to be Bernabeu bound.

Reus will apparently join the reigning Champions League holders when Carlo Ancelotti’s side trigger his £20m release clause, with a lucrative five year contract already in place.

Borussia Dortmund currently sit in the relegation zone though Reus has himself impressed, though has struggled with injuries.

Dortmund may also lose boss Klopp whilst captain Mats Hummels is linked with a move to join Arsenal and if the club fail to secure a Champions League berth for next term then such moves would prove all the more likely.

One does wonder quite where Reus would fit into Ancelotti’s all conquering side given the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo, Gareth Bale, James Rodriguez are all fighting for the creative attacking slots with Karim Benzema being first choice as the club’s central striking weapon.
