It looks like Antonio Conte will have a familiar face waiting for him at Stamford Bridge when he arrives at the end of Euro 2016. Midfielder Kwadwo Asamoah, who played several seasons for Conte at Juventus, will apparently be rejoining his former manager in England at the end of the summer.

According to the Metro via Calcio Mercato Web, Conte has directed Chelsea to sign the Ghana midfielder and a verbal agreement is already in place. Per the source, the club are willing to pay up to £20 million for Asamoah and negotiations have been making significant headway.

Asamoah has made 106 appearances for Juventus since making a €9 million move from Udinese in 2012 – more than 80 of which came under Antonio Conte’s tenure with the club. He earned Serie A Team of the Year honours in 2014 as Juventus won their third of five consecutive Serie A titles.

The 27-year-old midfielder has been less utilized under Massimiliano Allegri, making just 23 total appearances in the last two season.
