The 27 year old has been offered a £182k a week deal and the Old Trafford side will hope to clinch the deal in the coming days with the Serie A side demanding £42m for the attacking midfielder.

Vidal has helped Juventus to three successive domestic titles but the Turin side’s inability to make an impact on the Champions League and the exit of boss Antonio Conte may prove motivating factors as the former Bayer Leverkusen man continues to court a summer exit.

Whilst Man United do not have European football to offer in 2014/15 Vidal may be impressed by the prospects the club have under new boss Louis van Gaal.

The former Ajax, Bayern Munich and Barcelona boss is one of the best in the business and could be the man to usher in a new era of domination and the offer of a lucrative five year deal may well push Vidal toward an Italian exit.

Vidal will certainly offer some guile and a real threat in the final third and is a far better option than the likes of Marouane Fellaini or indeed Shinji Kagawa and could be an ideal midfield partner for new signing Ander Herrera.
