Man United boss Jose Mourinho hilariously trolls Tottenham fans

Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has taken a pop at Spurs fans for a lack of success after they mocked him during Monday night’s game.

Mauricio Pochettino masterminded the downfall of the Red Devils at Old Trafford on Monday, as his team emerged as 3-0 winners on the night thanks to a brace from Lucas Moura and a Harry Kane header.

Despite dominating proceedings in the first half, Mourinho saw his side spectacularly swept aside at the start of the second half, where they fell two goals behind before the hour mark.

Throughout the final 45 minutes, Tottenham supporters couldn’t resist in firing jibes at the Portuguese coach, who has come under pressure recently for his perceived negative style of play and provocative comments about his players in the media.

Spurs fans chanted “you’re not special anymore” as they watched their team run away with the game, which obviously got to the 55-year-old boss if his comments on Friday are anything to go by.

As Simply United’s account on Twitter posted earlier, Mourinho gave his response in a press conference this afternoon, saying: “Yeah, but they didn’t have that song when we beat them at Wembley a couple of months ago, a cup final the had a big dream to go to, a title they had a big dream to win, because they don’t win many ”

The man makes a valid point but it is all the more hilarious given the fact that he seems to be having a public meltdown whenever he faces the media nowadays. After the game on Monday he was quick to point out how many Premier League titles he has won and now he is responding to harmless banter from a set of opposition fans.

It remains to be seen whether or not he will remain at Old Trafford for the foreseeable future but we should all enjoy the show while it lasts because there is truly no other character in the game as colourful and controversial as Jose Mourinho.
