It isn’t the marquee signing that Jose Mourinho and Man Utd supporters craved this summer, but the Red Devils are said to be on the verge of announcing a new arrival.
After falling 19 points short of rivals Man City in the Premier League title race as well as finishing the campaign without a trophy, there was plenty of disappointment at Old Trafford last year.

Their indifferent start to the new season has already raised question marks as to whether or not they did enough this past summer in the transfer market to strengthen the squad and keep up the pace with their rivals.
Lee Grant, Diogo Dalot and Fred arrived at Old Trafford, but time will tell if that’s enough for the Red Devils to compete on all fronts for major honours.
As per the Manchester Evening News, a new arrival may well be announced imminently having reportedly taken his club photos, but it isn’t a major addition with 16-year-old Polish ace Lukas Bejger set to be unveiled as a Man Utd player ‘soon’, as per the report.
The youngster will likely only join up with the academy initially, but it’s a promising addition to the club given that it’s also added in the report that United fended off City in their bid to land his signature.
Nevertheless, while it’s intriguing to see the Premier League giants plan for the long term future, the focus and priority will be on their ability to compete in the more immediate future.
Unfortunately for fans, it’s highly unlikely that Bejger will help with that, but the club are evidently convinced about his talent and will hope that he can develop into an important senior player in the future.
