Barcelona goalkeeper Jasper Cillessen is reportedly mulling over a transfer offer from Liverpool this summer as he looks to play more regularly.
Despite shining at Ajax and for the Dutch national team, Cillessen has only ever been a backup at Barcelona and a ‘keeper of his calibre may rightly feel he deserves to be playing more.

There are certainly a couple of Premier League clubs who could do with a shot-stopper like him in their ranks, most notably Liverpool after Loris Karius’ Champions League final nightmare last season.
The Reds have been linked with a number of other goalkeepers this summer, most notably Roma star Alisson, whom they offered a contract, according to Globo Esporte.
However, Cillessen may be a more realistic candidate due to his situation at Barca, and Mundo Deportivo suggests he’s studying an offer from LFC as he ponders his future this summer.
The report also claims the 29-year-old could be an option for Chelsea if Thibaut Courtois leaves the club, which various reports suggest is on the cards this summer.
HLN have claimed the Belgium international is in advanced talks over a move to Real Madrid, and the Blues could certainly do far worse than bring in Cillessen.
Gianluca Di Marzio, however, report that Chelsea would look to sign Alisson as their replacement for Courtois, so either way one of Liverpool’s rumoured goalkeeping targets should be up for grabs.
