This is it. After the many thrills, drama and heartbreak, the World Cup 2018 reaches its climax when France and Croatia meet in the final on Sunday.
Croatia beat England in the semi-final 2-1 after the Three Lions took the lead early on courtesy of a wonderful free-kick from Kieran Trippier.
However, the Croats, led marvellously by the imperious Luka Modric, scored in the final 20 minutes and again in extra-time as their dominance in the middle of the park over a weary England began to tell.
Meanwhile, Les Bleus progressed into Sunday’s showpiece event with a dogged display against Belgium.
France beat Roberto Martinez’s side in the other semi-final, courtesy of a headed goal from Samuel Umtiti.
The French have dazzled in the knock-out stages and will be looking to their prodigy Kylian Mbappe to inspire them to victory after 20 years since their triumph in 1998.
As per the Evening Standard neither side have any suspensions and France do not appear to have any injury concerns so manager Didier Deschamps could name an unchanged XI.
However, as per the report, Ivan Strinic (groin) could be a doubt after limping off in extra time against England.
