Chelsea have reportedly received a £53million transfer bid from Barcelona for Brazilian winger Willian.
This is said to be the Catalan giants’ second bid for the 29-year-old, claims Sky Sports in their live Transfer Centre.
Willian has been at Chelsea since joining in 2013, becoming a key player for the Blues in two of their Premier League title wins.
However, Barca seem determined to snap him up after making another bid for the player, who could be an ideal fit at the Nou Camp.
With Ousmane Dembele not at his best in his first season with Barcelona, signing another attacking player out wide makes perfect sense for the La Liga champions.
Along with January signing Philippe Coutinho, Willian could form a key part of the side and bring some Samba flair back into the team after the shock loss of Neymar to Paris Saint-Germain last summer.
Chelsea fans won’t be too happy to lose Willian due to his work rate, skill and big-game performances, but £53m for a player at this end of his career could be seen as good business if they reinvest the cash well.
