Bordeaux starlet Malcom must be doing something right, as it’s claimed that Arsenal have joined Man Utd and Tottenham in the race to sign him.

The 20-year-old is having a decent season as he’s scored seven goals and provided five assists in 21 appearances so far this year.

It comes after his move from Corinthians in January 2016, and so evidently he’s now had a decent amount of time to settle in Europe and showcase his talent.

As seen in the tweet below from Fabrizio Romano, Arsenal have now put their name in the hat to sign him as they’ve been in touch with Bordeaux over a possible transfer either this month or in the summer.

It comes after The Daily Mail reported just over a week ago that the Brazilian starlet had attracted the interest of Tottenham and Man Utd, with a £40m price-tag being touted in the report.

With question marks remaining over Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil’s futures at Arsenal, it’s evident that Arsene Wenger may well have to start pushing ahead with a contingency plan to replace the influential pair.

Should he decide to cash in this month and avoid losing one or both for nothing in the summer, that would be more incentive to move in the next three weeks for a top talent to come in, and so time will tell if there are developments in this transfer window.

On top of that though, battling Tottenham and United in the transfer market could be tricky, as it remains to be seen if they are able to compete financially, and if Malcom is willing to snub a move to Old Trafford in particular to join the north London giants.
