Manchester United may have been handed a major transfer boost as reports claim Antoine Griezmann’s move to Barcelona now looks to be in some doubt.
According to Don Balon, Barca are now unsure if they need to sign the Atletico Madrid forward due to their recent change to a 4-4-2 under Ernesto Valverde.
Griezmann has long been regarded as one of the top attacking players in the world, and Barcelona have been among the clubs linked with him in recent times.
The Sun have linked the France international as a top priority target for the Red Devils next summer, but more recent developments suggested he could be on his way to the Nou Camp.
Don Balon have also claimed Griezmann only wants a move to Barcelona despite the possibility of other offers, but their latest claim suggests he may no longer be seen as a necessary purchase.

Atletico have made it clear Griezmann has an £88million release clause that becomes active next summer, but that seems a lot to spend on what could just prove another luxury player.
Ernesto Valverde already has Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez and Ousmane Dembele to choose from up front, and that potentially leaves little room for Griezmann.
Suarez made a slow start to the season but has improved lately, and it may be that the Uruguayan upping his game has affected their plans.
This could end up being good news for United if they remain interested and manage to persuade the 26-year-old to move to Old Trafford instead.
