Liverpool have reportedly made contact with Paris Saint-Germain over a possible loan with a view to a permanent transfer for German forward Julian Draxler.
The 24-year-old has not managed to establish himself as a regular at PSG despite making a strong start to life at the club when he joined last season.
Unsurprisingly, Draxler has found himself pushed down the pecking order in attack after the summer signings of Kylian Mbappe and Neymar, forcing him into a deeper midfield role.
This may not be the ideal way for the Germany international to express himself, and it’s easy to see how a club like Liverpool might be interested in snapping him up.

According to L’Equipe, the Reds are among the sides to have approached PSG over a possible deal for Draxler, but they face a major obstacle in that the player himself is committed to making the grade at the Parc des Princes.
Draxler has long been tipped for a career at the top level, and despite his difficulties at PSG, may well feel staying where he is would be more beneficial for him than moving to Liverpool.
Jurgen Klopp has not convinced everyone since he took over on Merseyside, with his side looking a shambles defensively this term, culminating in last night’s shock collapse against Sevilla.
Despite going 3-0 up before half time, Liverpool ended up drawing 3-3 and don’t seem to be making the desired progress needed to challenge for major honours.
PSG, however, will be serious contenders to win the Champions League this season and have been dominant in Ligue 1 down the years.
The Daily Star recently linked Draxler with Arsenal, while Don Balon currently claim he’s keen on Barcelona after talks with both them and Real Madrid.
