Liverpool wasted no time in pulling West Ham United apart on Saturday, going two goals up within the opening 24 minutes of the encounter.
Joel Matip doubled the lead for the visitors just minutes after the opening goal, but it was the first that was undoubtedly the more impressive.
From a West Ham corner, Liverpool’s dynamic duo of Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane combined to race down the opposite end of the pitch and leave the Hammers badly exposed at the back.
After Mane showed great composure to set up a one-on-one for Salah against Joe Hart, the Egyptian international did the rest as he stroked the ball into the back of the net, as seen in the video below.

It’s been a brilliant start to life at Liverpool for Salah, as he made it 11 goals in 17 games for the Merseyside giants to firmly put his previous disappointing experience in the Premier League with Chelsea firmly behind him.
For those that saw him play in Italy during spells with Fiorentina and Roma, this was relatively expected, but he has surely exceeded even his own expectations so early on with Liverpool.
