Fenerbahce star striker Robin van Persie will be staying at Fenerbahce next season despite being linked with moves to England and Italy.
The Dutch forward was linked with Middlesbrough, Stoke City, Napoli and PSG yesterday according to Sabah.
However, a source close to the club told Emre Sarigul that Van Persie is not for sale and that he is happy at the club. The Potters did make an offer for the experienced striker but after holding talks with his agent Fenerbahce reached an agreement regarding his future at the club.
Fenerbahce have not transfer listed Van Persie and will not accept offers for the star striker.
Van Persie does have another two-years remaining on his current contract and will stay at the club over the transfer window.
The 32-year-old missed Fenerbahce’s clash against Monaco this evening due to injury. The Istanbul giants beat the Ligue 1 outfit 2-1 at the Sukru Saracoglu stadium in their first-leg Champions League 3. Round qualifier clash.
