Juventus defender Leonardo Bonucci has seemingly given the biggest indication yet that he intends on staying with the Serie A champions.
The Italian international has been given an extended period off after featuring at Euro 2016, but returned to pre-season training this week.
In turn, he took to social media to share a photo of Turin from the sky, and in his caption labelled it as ‘home’ as he looks to play an influential role in the club’s continued success.
Having already added Miralem Pjanic, Dani Alves and Medhi Benatia to the squad, Juve are set to sign Gonzalo Higuain from Napoli this week.
While losing Paul Pogba to Manchester United will naturally be a blow, others will argue that they are perhaps even stronger than last season with their four new signings as they look to make it six consecutive Serie A titles.
Considered by many as one of the top defenders in Europe, it came as no surprise that both Pep Guardiola and Antonio Conte wanted him to join Manchester City or Chelsea respectively this summer, as widely noted in the British media.
However, it doesn’t look as though the 29-year-old is planning on going anywhere other than Turin in the coming weeks with Juve looking a formidable unit as they look to win at home and in Europe this season.
