Marko Grujic could not have wished for a better start to his Liverpool career.
Okay, it is only a friendly against Fleetwood Town, but a goal 12 minutes into his debut is the sort of thing Grujic that would have been dreaming about since joining the Reds back in January.
The 20-year-old midfielder was not signed from Red Star Belgrade for his goalscoring, but showed great composure when he popped up in the box to collect Alberto Moreno’s cross.
Grujic could have lashed wildly at the ball first time, but took his time and calmly picked his spot through a congested penalty area. Watch the Serbian’s first goal in a Liverpool shirt below!

It was not Grujic’s only involvement in the first half at Highbury. He also won a penalty which Danny Ings missed and struck the post. Reds fans and journalists on Twitter were very impressed!
Only a friendly and I remember Aspas lighting up pre-season games but very impressive start to Marko Grujic’s #LFC career here
