France international Antoine Griezmann has won the Euro 2016 Golden Boot award after finishing the summer tournament with six goals according to the official UEFA site.
The Atletico Madrid star was however, unable to add to his goal tally in the final against Portugal at the Stade de France stadium in Paris.
France ended up losing the Euro 2016 final against Portugal with second half substitute Eder scoring the only goal of the game in extra time.
Griezmann became the first French intentional player to win the golden boot at a European Championship since 1984 when Michel Platini won it.
The Atleti forward is now the third French international in history to win the golden boot after Platini and François Heutte (1960).
Euro 2016 champion Cristiano Ronaldo son the Silver Boot scoring three times and providing three assists in 625 minutes.
Arsenal striker Olivier Giroud meanwhile won the Bronze Boot for France also scoring three goals but providing two assists in 456 minutes.
