Barcelona right-back Dani Alves has taken to Instagram to bid farewell to the Catalan giants as he nears the exit door.
Writing on his social media account, the Brazil international has shared an emotional post in which he looks back over his time at the club and seemingly confirms his departure.
“I’m leaving but I’ll be back, because I’m a Barcelona fan just like anyone else,” Alves wrote on his @danid2ois handle.

“In July 2008 I joined this club and moved into the dressing room where I’ve experienced the best moments of my professional career,” he added.
“From the first day, that first training session under Pep Guardiola, until the last game of this last season, I had the fortune to passionately enjoy football.”
The attacking right-back made his name with Sevilla—winning the Uefa Cup on two occasions—before moving to Barca eight years ago.
He shone at the Camp Nou, possessing the technical prowess to join in the team’s tiki-taka approach, while also offering the offensive penetration to offer something a little more direct going forwards when situations required.
The 33-year-old will leave the club as one of the most decorated players in the world game, having won 23 trophies with the Nou Camp heavyweights.
