With Chelsea transfer talk all around, we have rounded up the biggest and best rumours currently doing the rounds.
1. Widespread reports, which began in Turkey with Fanatik, are linking Chelsea with a move for Simon Kjaer. It is claimed that Fenerbahce want £15m for the 27-year-old Danish centre-back, who has been heavily linked with Liverpool in the past.
2. According to the Daily Express, Chelsea want to re-sign Romelu Lukaku from Everton, but the Toffees are apparently pushing their luck by demanding £65m for a player they bought from Stamford Bridge for £28m just 12 months ago. Chelsea will not be held at ransom.
3. The Daily Mail claim former Blues boss Jose Mourinho will target Nemanja Matic as he tries to make Manchester United great again with the help of a £200m transfer kitty. Matic would cost at least £25m if Chelsea decide to sell.
4. If Matic were to leave, Chelsea would need to recruit a replacement. In truth, the Blues need midfield reinforcement regardless of whether he stays of goes. Atletico Madrid star Koke is widely known to be a top target, but he has reaffirmed his commitment to his current club, saying: “Atleti is special. It is a family. I am happy where I am.”
5. Another player Chelsea are seemingly set to miss out on his Juventus striker Alvaro Morata, with Arsenal leading the race according to The Sun, who say the Gunners are willing to pay him £155,000 a week to make him their highest earner.
