Manchester United are reportedly scouting Anderlecht duo Youri Tielemans and Leander Dendoncker with a view of making moves in the summer.

According to the Metro, a United scout watched the two young stars in action against Gent on Thursday night, and the club will now potentially consider moves for both.

As noted by the report, Premier League rivals Tottenham, Chelsea and Liverpool are also believed to be monitoring Tielemans, who has scored four goals and provided two assists in 24 league games so far this season.

Meanwhile, Dendoncker has impressed at right-back, and has in turn been linked to one of the top clubs in European football.

Naturally, much will depend on whether or not United opt to open negotiations as they will have to prise two of Anderlecht’s top talents away from the club.

If they are successful, it would undoubtedly continue their push to invest as part of a long-term plan with Louis van Gaal already signing the likes of Memphis Depay, Anthony Martial and Matteo Darmian since his arrival at the club.

Coupled with the emergence of Marcus Rashford and the development of Jesse Lingard along with a whole host of other youth team products, it is evident that the Dutchman is overseeing a transitional period where the focus is on making a lasting impression on the club even after he leaves.

Tielemans and Dendoncker will fall into that category, but whether or not they have done enough to earn a move to Old Trafford coupled with whether or not the club believe that they have plenty of room to develop into leading stars in Europe will determine if transfers are secured.
