West Ham United playmaker Dimitri Payet is in the midst of the finest campaign of his career and it looks as though his form isn’t going to subside any time soon.
In a clip shared from the Hammers’ training ground, France international Payet appears to hit a remarkable volley with the outside of his right foot. Receiving a high looping ball from the touchline, the former Olympique de Marseille midfielder looks up, takes a few steps, and slams the ball home from the edge of the area, leaving the keeper with no chance.

Payet followed on his outstanding campaign with OM last season, where he hit seven goals and contributed 16 assists, the 29-year-old has been in magnificent form this season.
The playmaker has contributed eight assists for West Ham United, and also scored nine goals, making a case that he ought to be considered among other Player of the Year nominees such as Harry Kane, Jamie Vardy and Riyad Mahrez.
Payet’s excellent recent form should come as good news for France ahead of this summer’s European Championships, with the attacker likely set to feature for Didier Deschamps’ Bleus.
