Spurs star defender Danny Rose targeted by Man City

Danny Rose, Tottenham

The emergence of Tottenham Hotspur defender Danny Rose into a top-notch back has done wonders for the club as they relentlessly pursue the Premier League title. As one of the highest-rated defenders for the team with the fewest goals allowed in the Premier League, Rose will no doubt become a hot-commodity for teams looking for an upgrade. If the latest reports are true, one of the biggest spenders in the Premier League could have their eyes set on the young defender.

According to the Evening Standard, Manchester City have expressed interest in Rose ahead of the summer transfer window and see him as a potential replacement for aging (and struggling) left-back Aleksandar Kolarov.

Rose has been a stalwart defender this season as the team has not allowed more than two goals in any game he has appeared. He scored the game-winning goal in a home win over Swansea City in February, earning his first appearance for the England national team in the Three Lions’ friendly win over Germany.
