Dynamo Kyiv forward/winger Andriy Yarmolenko has long been a target for European football powers. The 26-year-old star has scored over 100 goals over his last seven seasons and is a superstar for Ukraine. However, it looks like his coaches want to see him develop in England as opposed to another major country – which will be a huge boost for the intrigued Arsenal and Everton bosses.
According to the Mirror, Ukraine manager Mykhaylo Fomenko has tipped his star player to move to the Premier League – which will in turn put the Toffees and the Gunners on high alert, as both have expressed interest in him in the past.
“If he is wanted by the top English clubs then, yes, he can show his best in the Premier League and he must do this,” Fomenko said.
“He is the leader of our team and leader of our squad.”
Yarmolenko is a three-time Ukrainian Footballer of the Year and led Dynamo Kyiv to the Ukrainian Premier League title last season after scoring a career-high 14 league goals and never losing a game. In that same campaign he impressed in the Europa League, leading the competition in assists.
Per the source, Yarmolenko is rated at £25 million.
