You might have thought that after all he’s done for the club, Claudio Ranieri is deserving of a statue, or even a stand named after him at Leicester City.
However, only now, after his remarkable campaign with the Foxes, has the legendary Italian coach received a chant in his honour.
As this footage shows, the former Chelsea, Inter Milan, AS Monaco and Greece coach has finally been honoured with his own song.
To the tune of ‘Nel blu dipinto di blu’—translated as ‘In the Sky, Painted Blue’—or popularly known as ‘Volare’—that unforgettable hit from Italian singer Domenico Modugno.
The lyrics—admittedly—not particularly catchy, run as follows: “Ranieri, ooooh. Ranieri, ooooh. He came from Italy, to manage the City”

Indeed, it’s easy to see why Ranieri (finally) has received such adulation from the Leicester fans, having guided the East Midlanders to the pinnacle of the Premier League where, with only eight matches to go, the Foxes sit top of the league, five points clear of second-placed Tottenham Hotspur.
