Chelsea forward Diego Costa surely faces a hefty punishment after being caught on camera biting Gareth Barry and spitting at referee Michael Oliver.
Costa was sent off for picking up two yellow cards in Saturday’s 2-0 FA Cup quarter-final defeat at Everton.
Incredibly though, neither of Costa’s booking were for his two headline offences.
His first was for going in hard on Barry during the opening 15 minutes and his second was for ‘butting heads’ with the same player during the coming together which saw him sink his teeth into the Toffees midfielder late on.
The ref seemingly missed the spit and bite, which means both are likely to be investigated by the FA.

Costa is surely set for more than the automatic one-match ban which will be issued for his dismissal.
We asked our Twitter followers what punishment would suit Costa’s crimes.
Most said that he should receive a four-month ban from football, just like the suspension handed to Luis Suarez by FIFA after he bit Giorgio Chellini at the 2014 World Cup.
Multiple Tweeters went as far as to say that a life-time ban would be the correct punishment.
So, he’s bitten Barry and spat at the ref. What sort of ban should Diego Costa be given by the FA? #EFCvCFC #EVEvCHE
