Manchester City are reportedly ready to kick off their latest round of summer spending by launching a big money move for West Ham United’s Dimitri Payet, according to The Sun.
Incoming boss Pep Guardiola is said to be a big admirer of the 28-year-old, who has made a big impact on the Premier League since joining West Ham from Marseille last summer.
And the Sun report claims that Guardiola will even sanction a £30million move for the France international as he draws up plans for his arrival at the end of the season.
However, Payet is also thought to be on the radars of both Arsenal and Chelsea, who could convince him to remain in London if he has already settled into life in the capital.
But the Hammers are also hoping to tie him down to a new contract, with manager Slaven Bilic even hinting that an agreement is close recently.
“I think we are very close to Dimitri signing a new contract. Both parties have the same intention and that is to stay at West Ham,” Bilic said.
