Leicester City striker Jamie Vardy has had one of the best seasons in the history of the Premier League. He broke Ruud van Nistelrooy’s record for consecutive games with a goal, a leader for the No. 1 team in England and an all-around incredible scoring machine. Now the club is paying him back for his service to the club in a huge way with a brand new deal.
According to Leicester City’s official Twitter page, they have inked a new deal with Vardy through 2019. The club got Vardy’s take on the deal, and he stated he was delighted to be working towards something special with the club.

Last season Leicester City spent 21 weeks in the relegation zone, saving themselves from a drop thanks to a 7-1-1 stretch in the final nine weeks of the season that gave them the 22 points they needed to escape. In 25 games this season, Vardy has 18 goals, 39 shots on-target, 30 chances created and three assists.
Manager Claudio Ranieri, fresh off a 3-1 win over Manchester City, called Vardy “a fighter” and “a fantastic player.”
