For Guus Hiddink to navigate Chelsea out of the bottom five and into the top ten he’s going to need to get a bonafide superstar to replace one of his struggling starters. The team have maintained their interest in Juventus megastar Paul Pogba for months but have yet to make a serious offer for the former Golden Boy.
According to the Metro, Chelsea have made another inquiry to Juventus asking about the star midfielder with the intention of making him the transfer priority in the 2016 summer transfer window. The Metro noted that Juventus appear unlikely to sell their prized star in the middle of the season.
Pogba is widely considered to be one of the best midfielder in the world and has drawn significant interest from the likes of PSG, Barcelona and Manchester City, among others.
Chelsea have not received the expected contributions from midfield superstars Eden Hazard or Oscar, and have not received the goal-scoring excellence from Diego Costa that they were anticipating either.
